Bet Ha’am is very excited to inaugurate a new volunteer recognition award at our June 15 Annual Meeting. To be given annually henceforth, the Jane Snerson Distinguished Service Award is named for one of the greatest volunteers Bet Ha’am has ever had, someone who continues to inspire others by her selfless service to the congregation.
The first recipient of the award will be Louise Abramson. Louise’s impact on Bet Ha’am as a volunteer has been, and continues to be, almost impossible to overstate. Several of Louise’s fellow congregants will speak about her contributions as part of the Annual Meeting. During the worship service immediately following the Annual Meeting, we will be honored to hear from Louise herself.
Please come and help us honor Jane and Louise, two volunteers who help make Bet Ha’am what it is!
Please come to this year’s annual congregational meeting, June 15 at 5:30. The meeting will include a potluck dinner. The meaty agenda includes:
• A congregational vote on a new mission statement for Bet Ha’am;
• A vote on the Nominating Committee’s nomination of Diane Newman to fill Board Seat 13;
• A brief presentation on the state of synagogue finances, including a recap of the new financial support model passed by the Board in April; and
• Presentation of the first annual Jane Snerson Distinguished Service Award. The first recipient of the award will be Louise Abramson. Several of Louise’s fellow congregants will speak about her volunteer contributions during the Annual Meeting. During the worship service immediately following the Annual Meeting at 7:30, we will be privileged to hear from Louise herself about why she does what she does for our community.
Please come and be part of both running and appreciating Bet Ha’am! Thank you.
