I was born and raised in New City, New York. Since then, I have been slowly making my way north. I attended Binghamton University where I received dual degrees in Physics and Mechanical Engineering. I then made my way to Boston to pursue my PhD in Engineering Systems at MIT, with a focus in Healthcare Systems design and optimization.
While in Boston, I met my wife who is from York, Maine. After having the first of our two children, we decided to make Maine our home.
Growing up, my family were members of a conservative congregation (New City Jewish Center). I attended Hebrew School from pre-school through high school. While I didn't fully appreciate it at the time, I truly value the role that our synagogue played as a safe, comfortable space to learn, play, and connect with my religious and cultural identity.
I love the community and mission of Congregation Bet Ha'am. Since 2019, I have served as the Shalom Yeladim (2nd year pre-school) teacher, and I am excited to serve on the Board so I can do my part in ensuring that Bet Ha'am remains a place of safety, acceptance, and connection for anyone who visits.
I have spent my career in healthcare performance improvement and administration, including leading the MaineHealth/Southern Maine Health Care practices during COVID. I now serve as a Principal Health Practice & Systems Advisor at MITRE Corporation, where I enjoy working with incredibly brilliant people dedicated to furthering public safety and national healthcare innovation.
I also teach Physician Leadership Programs at Harvard University and the University of New Hampshire.
As an Eagle Scout, I love the outdoors and sharing them with my family. My children are now scouts themselves, and I serve as their Assistant Scoutmaster and Den Leader.Leader. As an engineer, I also enjoy all things nerdy, and the Peck family dinner table is filled with lively discussions that you would have to hear to believe.
