Carlin Gayer

Carlin Gayer lives in Portland, ME with her husband Noah, daughter Lily (4), and son Asher (1). Carlin was born and raised in Maine but left to attend Yale University for college, where she obtained a degree in Political Science. She began her professional career in management consulting, received an MBA from Duke University, and transitioned to a career in product management. She moved back to Maine in 2020 to raise her family and currently works as a product manager at IDEXX.

Bet Ha'am has been part of Carlin's life since before she can remember. Carlin's mother Elaine Falender was deeply involved in synagogue life and was president of the congregation twice, once when Elaine was pregnant with Carlin and once when Carlin was in high school. Carlin has celebrated most of her major life milestones at Bet Ha'am, from the naming of her children to the funeral of her mother to her own wedding. Carlin cares deeply about building and maintaining a strong Jewish community for young families in Southern Maine, and to that end she has helped lead Tot Shabbat services at Bet Ha'am and Beth El. She looks forward to the opportunity to further serve the community as a Bet Ha'am board member.
