Melissa Montefel

This is my second stint being part of the Board of Trustees, I previously service in the 90s! I enjoy bringing my experiences, love of Judaism and dedication to Bet Ha'am and Reform Jewish values to the congregation. The world and congregation along with it have changed rapidly in my 30 plus years as a member and I am eager to help steer us into meeting the needs of our community. I love participating in Jewish events throughout our Southern and Central Maine community whether it is jewelry making at the Jewish Museum, Spring Conference and Fall Shabbaton with the Center for Small Town Jewish Life or co-chairing Bet Ha'am's own movie and TV show group.



As for life at home, I have two grown daughters (both Bet Ha'am Bat Mitzvahs and confirmands) and live with one very spoiled Siamese cat. In my spare time, I love to read, cook, bake, sing, worship and spend time with friends and family.
